Flex Records is going ‘back in the jungle’ to continue what it started, as it releases its first album in nearly a decade.
Here is his top 10 for May
After a musical rain check of just over eight years, L Double and his legendary label Flex, are back in the ring to finish some outstanding D&B business.
Inspired by Roughcut’s track ‘Back in the Jungle’ , the album by the same name, is a collection of 33 blue-chip bangers – giving the D&B family three hours of uninterrupted audio pleasure.
” Having this album named after my track is a real honor,” said Roughcut. “L and I go back a long way and I have a massive love for the label . With Flex you’re guaranteed to get that little bit extra something that’s missing from a lot of other material out there.”
L Double agrees: “We wanted to create an album that delivers everything anyone could want in one place at one time. And that’s what I think we have achieved with this album. When we put the shout out that we were in the market again, we were overwhelmed by the love out there. We have had so much material to chose from we were able to cherry pick the best of the best from across the world which was a great privilege. “
Still riding high after a successful relaunch at the Qube club in London in February and single releases by Margaman, Missin Link etc there is little doubt that L and Flex are back for the long haul.
